We are looking for a versatile Web/ Front-End Developer to join our team to work on exciting new development projects. The position will be filled on a contract to hire basis with the project lasting a minimum of 12 months.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The web developer will work as a team member in the engineering organization to implement the user interface layers. which include javascript and css.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
\u2022Collaborate with engineering, product management, operations, and marketing to gather and understand customer needs to create the most effective and user-friendly customer interface possible.
\u2022Work with developers throughout the product development, testing and implementation phases to ensure user interface integrity and functionality.
\u2022Propose creative ideas to meet new product goals.
\u2022Manage, track and report on schedules and key milestones in the development process.
\u2022Create great apps.
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
\u20223+ years experience in UI development
\u2022Experience designing user interfaces for web-based applications is critical.
\u2022Experience with php and or other server side languages (C#, java etc, ROR..)
\u2022Portfolio with online examples of work is a plus.
\u2022HTML/CSS/JavaScript development
\u2022Develop interactive prototypes using js libraries
\u2022Develop AJAX modules
\u2022Understanding of HTML/CSS and Web 2.0 principles
\u2022Experience using DHTML and AJAX to enhance the user experience
\u2022A strong understanding of modern web practices to create an efficient user-experience and clean code
\u2022Good use and familiarity of javascript libraries such as Jquery, Mootools, and ExtJS
\u2022Comfortable working with photoshop to do slices and markup
COMPENSATION:
$55-65,000 PER YEAR based on experience
