Discovering javascript contract, permanent and freelance web developer jobs

TagMan is a JavaScript content management system that advertisers use to inject 3rd party “tags” (code snippets) into their web pages. We are revolutionising the way data flows between companies in the online advertising ecosystem and winning awards and great clients along the way.

Our unique applications are are years ahead of the competitors and we’re looking for a bright, motivated and talented JavaScript developer to help build the next generation of our framework, which includes a number of exciting new features that push the boundaries of what can be done with JavaScript.

You will be part of the team responbile for development, maintenance and support of this core aspect of our technology:

• Design, development and maintenance of the companies advanced JavaScript libraries
• Solving problems at the cutting edge of JavaScript development
• Writing and administering JavaScript unit tests and documentation

Essential Experience:
• 3 years software development experience including extensive JavaScript in the last 12 months
• Excellent JavaScript knowledge including cross browser issues
• AJAX development
• Use of source control platforms (SVN)
• Unit testing
• Experience developing robust and efficient code for large scale production applications
• Good appreciation of software development best practice

Preferred Experience:
• Experience of automated build and deployment tools
• Bookmarklet development
• Agile development (SCRUM)
• Experience with JsUnit, Google TestDriver, Javadoc, Google Closure Compiler
• Knowledge of mootools, prototype, scriptaculous, jquery etc

This is a full-time role is based in our New York office and not suitable for remote working. Whilst our core need is for a three month contract, it can also be a permanent role with additional responsibility for ongoing maintenance and support as well as the continued development of the product.
